The easter descent

Chäserrugg – Espel

The entrance to the legendary Ostabfahrt (Eastern Descent) can be accessed directly from the summit of the Chaeserrugg. There, hobby skiers will find an ample, all-natural descent through pristine nature that runs 5.2 km downwards through Alpine meadows and forests to end directly at the valley station of the new ten-car Espel-Stoefeli-Chäserrugg cable car. From here, skiers can opt to take the attractive route into the valley (via the gentle Schwendi piste) or to ascend once more to the Rücken.
